What can one do with color-dipped, decorative art ceramic tiles?

What can you do with individual art tiles, you ask? The real question should be: what can you *not* do with them?

The only limitations are those of your own vision and creativity. The fact is, you can transform every room of your home with individual decorative tiles.

We hand-produce our tiles in ceramic, glass and tumbled stone. We have over one thousand art choices, art in every style and for every taste. For the sake of this post, let’s talk about ceramic decorative tile, but keep in mind that everything written in this post will also applies to glass tile and tumbled stone tile.

You can create an artful, beautiful wall arrangement, displaying them either symetrically or asymetrically, without a frame for a more free-standing look; you can frame them and hang them; you can embed them on top of furniture pieces you want to refurbish and renew or just dress up; you can display them on easels; you can get a series of them and create amazingly beautiful tile wall borders; you can use them as luscious coasters or trivets….should I go on? The fact is, tiles have so many different applications besides tile murals, backsplashes or floors…and if you can summon up a little imagination, they make much more compelling art displays than canvas or paper prints ever dreamed of. That’s because of the texture, baby…tiles rock.

Below are original art ceramic tiles that measure 6″ x 6″. They are 1/4″ thick and have a slight beveled edge. Since they have a bright white surface, they receive our inks like nobody’s business and the colors just glow. We make them by hand in our Vermont production studio, and every piece of art available on Color Bakery can be your own personal palette to work with!
