Yes, we have tile patterns. We have the most diversified and largest collection of beautiful, original art tile patterns anywhere. We have art nouveau tile patterns. We have grunge tile patterns. We have floral tile patterns. We have classic tile patterns. We have funky tile patterns. We have geometric tile patterns. We have abstract tile patterns. We have deco tile patterns. We have vintage tile patterns. We have fabric pastiche tile patterns. In fact, there isn’t a genre we don’t have. And if we don’t have what the customer wants, we can make it from scratch.

Know what else we can do that’s really cool? Let’s say you have a fabric design in your living room, a matching or coordinating pattern you’re using for bed or table linens, couch pillows and/or curtains. You send me a swatch of your pattern, and I can make you a tile mural, backsplash or tile border to match your pattern. I can even make the pattern seamless. Man in the Moon Glass Clock

When I was a little girl (you know, during the time of the Crusades), I adored the Mother Goose rhyme: “Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon.” There was something about the thought of a cow jumping over the moon that was so enchanting to me. And of course, not long after that, the dish ran away with the spoon. (Were they in love? Was the fork’s heart broken? I could never figure that one out, but I definitely thought about it from time to time).

I have always been inexorably drawn to the moon. In fact, my mother told me that my first word was “moon,” and not “mommy” or “daddy”. She said she pointed to the big yellow glowing ball in the sky and said, “Mindy, moon”, and I repeated the word solemnly, the first time I ever spoke. That was probably the start of a lifelong love affair with that mysterious, wondrous orb.

Much of my Dreamscape work has moons in it. But I wanted to create a moon clock that had more of a vintage, old-fashioned feel, the kind I remember from story books. So our Man in the Moon clock came to be, with a stained glass stylization. It’s 12″ round glass, and has mounting hardware on the back. You can also display it in our clock stand if you don’t want to hang it on the wall. If I had this clock as a child, I would have loved it. Ceramic Tile Mural Serving Tray, Country French Pattern

One of the most wonderful things about making custom art for a living is creating something for my customers that they have looked all over for, but have not had success in finding.

A longtime client called a couple of weeks ago and told me she wanted a country French pattern, with green and blue, and a vintage feel. She wanted a personal serving tray that would go with her bedroom decor. She told me she wanted a lighthearted pattern with a vintage French feel, in blues and greens. She said she had looked all over for a tray with this kind of artwork, and couldn’t find anything she liked..so she decided to have me design it for her.

I created this art piece for her (see photo below) and she said, “that’s it!” She was so happy she sent me roses. Of course she didn’t have to do that, but the fact that I gave her exactly what she had been envisioning was so satisfying to me. Nothing like it in the world. (It also gave me a good reason to razz my husband, as he hasn’t sent me a dozen roses since the year 2000). I loved the pattern so much I made it available on Color Bakery, and it can be ordered on all our products—because, as you know, we make everything custom at the request of our customers. But it’s now part of the art lineup, in our Pattern Gallery. It’s called, “Viva La France.”

Custom Glass Art Clocks

One of my personal favorites from Color Bakery (and one of our most popular sellers) is our custom made 12″ round glass clocks. The glass is smooth (it used to be textured but is now smooth glass) and receives ink just as beautifully as our glass tiles. We can customize both the artwork and clock design with the art of your choosing. It has mounting hardware on the back but I especially love this clock on our wrought iron clock stand–it looks beautiful on a desktop or table. Rosewood Keepsake Box with Art Nouveau Damask Pattern Tile

A beautiful and richly elegant wooden keepsake box with a high gloss lacquer, fully lined inside, this makes a gorgeous gift–for yourself or someone to use as a keepsake or jewelry box. Custom Tile Console Table and Custom Tile Furniture

We made this lovely Console Table with my original art piece called “Magic Flight” from the Emergence (Butterfly Art) Series. We printed the art on a ceramic tile mural, each tile measuring 6″ square. We will print the image of your choice on either glass, tumbled tuscany stone or ceramic tile, and we will custom make the table for you, including staining it with a designer color stain and grouting the embedded tile mural. Stained Glass Style Glass Bistro Table

I love love love this little glass Bistro Table.

It’s not just because we can print any piece of art on the glass. Nor the fact that it’s very reasonably priced, or that it can go in any room–no matter the style. Nope, the coolest thing about this table is that you can lift the glass top right off and change it to another piece of art in two seconds! That means when you get restless and redecorate, giving your room a new color scheme or flavor, this table can be “redone” in an instant just by changing out the glass top. Since I am one who is always changing and rearranging, I love the idea of having a table that you can change out glass tops with. Want Art Nouveau today? Change the glass. Vintage Santa Coffee Mug

This beautiful vintage style Santa holiday coffee mug is part of the 2008 Color Bakery Christmas and Holiday Collection. Since putting it online a couple of days ago, we’ve already received an enthusiastic response. People really enjoy holiday pieces with a vintage flavor, and art pieces that use color as well as texture. This 11 oz coffee mug is just as likely to be used as a holiday display decor piece as it is to serve hot cocoa or steamy cinnamon coffee.
